2507 is a super duplex stainless steel, known domestically as 00Cr25Ni7Mo4N (or may be referred to as SAF 2507, super duplex, UNS S32750, DIN/EN 1.4410, ASTM A240).

2507 stainless steel bar contains high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen, giving it excellent resistance to corrosion, including resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and uniform corrosion, with a PRE value of up to 42. Its duplex microstructure ensures that the steel has high resistance to stress corrosion rupture and high mechanical strength. In addition, its low carbon content greatly reduces the risk of carbide precipitation in the intergranular spaces during heat treatment, and as a result, this alloy has a high resistance to carbide-related intergranular corrosion.
